This is the coolest thing ever. A couple of days ago I received my ALDL cable. This cable allows me to hook up my laptop to the Fiero’s ECM computer and read data. I can see everything in real-time, kph, rpms, speed, etc.; all while driving. Kinda like having your own scan-tool like the dealerships have – minus the $70-$80 charge to use it :)

Since I’ve been having problems diagnosing the high-idle with the Fiero, I thought this would be a better investment, rather than throwing parts at it to try and solve the problem. With the help of people on Pennock’s Fiero Forum, and the ALDL data logs, I should find a solution to this problem.
